I've been researching Pleasant Valley people around the time my gg grandfather Edward T. Vail lived (1818-1882)and came across an elderly woman, Sylvania Vail age 60 in 1860, living with a younger couple whose name is difficult to read. It looks like Holmes or Holman, Joel O. and either Laura or Louisa. The handwriting is almost impossible!.. Does anyone recognize these people? Thank you for any help you might give me.
