Hail Vails! - The Morris County Park System has taken over the Speedwell iron works site and has almost finished restoring the "Factory" where Alfred Vail perfected the electromagnetic telegraph. In Spring 2008, there will be some kind of rededication ceremony, and the Park System would like to know if descendants of the Vails might be interested in making a weekend out of it.

There will probably also be some kind of event at the opening of the Theodore Vail mansion, which has been greatly enlarged and converted into a upscale condominium/convention center. It may be possible to merge the two events for Vail Family members.
