Adrian Daily Telegram, Monday, December 10, 2007, pg A2 Evelyn May (Harmon) Vail Obit ADRIAN — Evelyn May Vail, age 92, of Adrian, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Provincial House. She was born April 29, 1915, in Erie, Michigan, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Blair) Harmon. On July 12, 1937, she married Donald Vail in Indiana. Donald, her husband for over 63 years, preceded her in death on March 6, 2001. Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Adrian. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Charlotte Cox of Venice, Fla.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Britten of Grand Rapids and Catherine (Martin) Fischer of Sanford, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Mitchell Britten; a sister, Anne Pluciniczak of Luna Pier; and two brothers, Richard (Pat) Harmon of Florida and Harold Harmon of California. Also surviving is Evelyn’s caregiver for the past eight years, Elsiea Fewless. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jenny Myers, Betty Wells and Mary Cooper; and two brothers, Donald Harmon and Skip Harmon. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at the Wagley Funeral Home with Father Robert Schramm officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Evelyn may be directed to Hospice of Lenawee.
