Hi again Jim, You are in luck! Your grandmother Priscilla Vail is a direct descendent of the original immigrant Thomas Veal who came to Salem, Mass.b. abt. 1628. I found Samuel on World Connect with just a death date and place. His father was Isaac Vail and mother Elizabeth Jennings, also spouse Mary Unknown surname. Isaac b. 1728 New Jersey d. 1805 in Virginia. Isaac was the son of the famous Quaker preacher Rev. John J. Vail b. 1685 in Westchester Co. NY, spouse Martha Fitz Randolph. Rev John was the son of Samuel Vail b. 1654 in Long Island NY, Spouse Elizabeth Hunt. This Samuel was the son of Thomas Veal (Vail) whose spouse was Sarah Wentworth.
