I am searching for info on John W. Vailes born Dec. 1854 in Ark. He married Martha Ann Matthis. She was born May 1862 in Miss. and died in 1947, at Ain, Ark. Don't know his parents names or his date of death. Her parents were George Matthis and Frances Baker. John and Martha had three sons, William Andrew (my ggrandfather) born Sept. 18, 1883 at Ain, Ark., married Rosie Ann McKinney Dec. 2, 1906, and died Oct. 13,1972. Second son J.P. (Pearl) born Oct 1888 at Ain, Ark. and died 1959. Third son James (Jim) born Feb. 16, 1891 at Ain, Ark., married Ludie L. ____ on Nov. 20, 1912, and died April 4, 1980. Dont' know if there were other children or not. My grandmother never talked about anyone else and I never met anyone else. If anyone has any info I would love to hear from you.
