I recently received a donation of some old photos from the estate of Watt O. Cowan of Dade County, Missouri. There is a very nice photo os the Arthur Vales family, taken in Hume, Bates County, Missouri. The town written on the back appears to say Planes, Kansas. The writing trails off and that may not be the right spelling. If you would like to see a copy of the photos I can scan and send it to you. The picture appears to be before 1890 (based on fashions of the women).
