I descend from Sintha Vailes who married David Piles in Martin County, Indiana, in 1831. I believe she is the daughter of John Vailes who was listed as 40-50 years old in the 1830 census in Orange County, Indiana. Along with John, there was a Samuel Vailes, 60-70 years old; Samuel Jr. who was 30-40; William 30-40; and Anna 20-30. Samuel and Samuel Jr. moved to Hardeman County, Tennessee, by 1840. John had nine children in 1830; I've accounted for five of them. John moved to Coles/Cumberland County, Illinois, by 1840. Sintha moved there right around 1840. I'd like to locate others from these families.
