Hello Fellow Vaillant Researchers,
Looking for earlier information on Lewis Martin, but probably born in Quebec as Louis Vaillant. His death cert. says Lewis Martin, also known as Vaillant. Was married to Delia, who died and one son Peter (?Warren)Martin, born in Hillsborough (?sp), NH. on April 04, 1877. Delia died between 188O and 1890, probably in Hillsborough, NH. Lewis married second, Kathleen Gero/Giroux Ash about 1889 in either Caledonia or Essex Co., Vermont, or possibly Coos Co., NH. His son Peter married Harriet(Hattie) Ash, Kathleen's daughter by her first husband Lewis Ash, Jan. 16, 1901 in Concord, Vermont.
Lewis Martin also know as Vaillant died in 1911 in St.Johnsbury or Concord, VT and is buried at the Mt.Calvary Cemetery in St.Johnsbury, VT, grave sight unknown (burial permit says public). His son Peter Martin died in 1954 in Littleton, New Hampshire, buried in the Rose of Lima Cemetery.
