I am just beginning to research our family using the web.
What a wonderful tool.
I read your message with great interest, and definitely would be interested in the information contained in your family bible.
I have traced our family back to Melrose, Roxburgh, Scotland, and find that many were in the gardening occupation, and some were barbers and wig makers as well.
I suspect that all the Vairs are related as it is not a common name at all.
