Obit: Alice S. (Valliere) Cadieux b.1909 Laconia, NH
ROCHESTER, NH - Alice S. Cadieux, 95, formerly of 5C Wellsweep Acres and 2 Walnut St., died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Riverside Rest Home, Dover, where she had been a resident for the past four years, after a period of failing health.
She was born on July 1, 1909, in Laconia, N.H., and was the daughter of Joseph and Virginie (Enaire) Valliere. She was raised in Laconia, attending schools in that community. She moved to Rochester in 1936.
Before her retirement, she had been employed as a sales clerk in various jewelry and dress shops, including Larochelle Jewelers, J. C. Penney and Ainslei Drugs.
She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and held membership with the Third Order of Saint Francis, Rochester, N.H. She was also a member of The St. Anne Sodality of Holy Rosary Church.
Family members include several cousins, nieces, nephews and her friends in Rochester.
There is no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Rochester, N.H. Burial will be in the spring in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
The Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth, N.H., has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
