Martin Van Buren Connected to VanVoorhees?

My mother-inlaw was in the position of several items having belonged to the President Martin Van Buren. Somehow through her family she was related to Van Buren and one of the Roosevelts I believe.

Her grandfather was a VanVoorhees from New York and her grandmother was a Gould I believe. Her mother was Florence VanVoorhees born in New York one of several children she had several sisters and a brother named Cornealus (Neal) who moved to New Jersey.

Any info on the connection to the VanBuren line through the Gould or VanVoorhees would be very much appreciated.
