In 1860, William appears on the Union Township, LaPorte County, Indiana census as Wm. Vanburan, age 19, farm Laborer. He is enumerated with Henry (age 63) & Elizabeth (age 63) Mann, farmers. Also in the same household are Lavina Mann (age 14), Ida A. Hunt (age 11), and Mary Hascom (age 6). Lavina's obituary in 1902 indicates that she married William September 2, 1860 - the same year as this census.

You gave the same info I have for the 1870 census. By the 1880 census, William and Lavina VanBuren were residing in Layton Township in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, with four daughters enumerated with them.

Lavina Mann VanBuren died January 7, 1902. Her obit indicates her final resting place was the "family lot in the Walnut Cemetery." (There is no stone to indicate where she is buried.)

William VanBuren died July 15, 1919. His obit also indicates that "interment was in the Walnut Cemetery." (There is no stone to indicate where he is buried.)
