Thank you for your information.I met all of Linda's children and needed info on George Dewey Sr's first family.
The only reason I thought they never married is because Linda told me that she had always wished they had married.
She told me that she was married to a man who beat her.He was hitting her when George Dewey Sr, was walking by. He forced his way into the house and beat up the husband and threw him out on his ear. He stayed to protect her in case the abuser returned and they fell in love. She was a sweet little woman of 77 years when I met her.She was always surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She passed away in 1997.
I had known that my father-in-law (Morris Donald) had half brothers but no one seemed to know much about George Dewey Sr.'s life before 1933. Do you have the birth dates and death dates of Raymond, Horace, Delma and Florence?I have the info on Linda's brood.
I was really hoping that someone could look up George's parents, Issac Vaneman and Stella Fish.I got these names off George Dewey's death certificate. Are there any aunts or uncles that might know where these two are buried? Are there any old family bibles that might shine some light on these ancestors? Please let me know if you find out anything.
Thanks for your time.
