In reviewing the National Archives Civil War pension file of my 3rd great grandfather, Benjamin F. Turner (d 1890) I discovered some information that I thought might be valuable to people researching the relatives of Benjamin's second wife. Her name was Mary A. Turner and she supplied all kinds of official documentation in her quest for a widow's pension after Benjamin's death.
One was her marriage certificate to Benjamin F. Turner dated March 10, 1883 in Millville, NJ.On it, her section of the listing was as follows

The other document was her firsthusband's death certificate.

There was also a letter in the file from Mary's daughter to the pension bureau informing them that Mary died on May 19, 1920.
