According to FamilySearch.org this is Lewis Post Vanliew, son of Ethanon Vanliew and Eliza Wood of Seneca Co NY.
Lewis/Louis was carpenter. He appears in the 1850 & 1860 Seneca censuses with his parents, then the 1870 Cayuga census with a Groome family, and then in the 1880 Cayuga census with wife and child. (Lots of creative spelling of the names, but he is there.)
I found them in Blair, Washington Co NE in 1900 as L P & J E VANLORE with 3 children, Maud b Dec 1880 NY, May b Nov 1882 NE, and Ross b Jun 1884 NE.
In 1910 they are in Blair as Louis P & Jennie VANLON with only daughter Maude B.
From NEgenweb > Washington > Cemeteries:
Lewis P Van Liew 1846 - 1916
Jennie E Van Liew 1850 - 1913
Blair Cemetery, Block 86, Lot 6
From WWI Draft registraions:
Ross G Vanliew b 19 Jun 1884, Washington Co NE
From NE censuses:
Ross G Vanliew, wife Tressa, son Clyde
From 1930 CA census:
Maude B Vanliew b NY, working as housekeeper
From CA Death Index:
Maude B Vanliew b 16 Jan 1880 NY d 14 Oct 1960, mother's maiden name Hawley
Ross G Vanliew b 16 Jun 1884 NE d 22 Jan 1971
Tressa E Vanliew b 7 Oct 1885 NE d 12 Jun 1958, father's name Mehrens, mother Piper
Clyde R Vanliew b 7 Sep 1909 NE d 30 Jan 2000
This is not my family - I am researching John Vanliew, son of Daniel & Caroline Vanliew of Cayuga Co NY, for a friend. I suspect Daniel and Ethanon might be brothers.
