Hi all. My husband is Jason Vaughan. His grandfather was James Oscar Vaughan from MS. According to James Oscar's widow his father was John Oscar Vaughan, son of Charity Ann Stephens and John Oscar Vaughan. Any references I have seen to Charity Ann and John Oscar's son say "John R". I'm new at this and confused. Any one know where the R came from?
