All VAUGHANs and VAUGHNs are invited to attend no matter the line.
WHAT: A VAUGHAN-VAUGHN reunion. The James VAUGHN line is the primary ancestor family.
WHEN: Friday May 9th 1PM-6PM Registration and Greeting. Saturday May 10th Information exchange and Lunch. Sunday May 13th Refreshments in the morning before going to the church for service and dedication.
WHERE: Lake Lowndes State Park 7 miles SE of Columbus MS. Cabins and trailer hookups available. Motel rooms nearby.
18-hole golf, tennis courts, hiking and horse trails, playground and fishing.
WHY: The VAUGHN Church will be officially placed on the National Historic Register honored for it being the first church in Lowndes County, Mississippi. The official ceremony will take place Sunday, May 13th during the now only once-a-year service.
There will be tables for photo albums, laptop computers, 3-ring notebooks and memorabilia.
