Hi - I believe you are asking about the Thomas Vaughan, some of whose children were baptized in Albemarle PARISH, not Albemarle COUNTY. I have a brief writeup about him, which I made many years ago.I'll paste it in even though it doesn't answer your questions.
Surry County formed in 1652 from James City County.
Brunswick formed from Prince George, Isle of Wight and Surry in 1720.
Sussex from Surry in 1753.
Thomas Vaughan (born, perhaps in James City County, Virginia, not later than ca 1711 [he bought land in 1731]; died in Sussex County, Virginia, between June 14, 1788 and September 18, 1788) married Dorothy (?Jones) (died in Sussex County between November 11, 1795 and February 4, 1796) and had children, some of whom were baptized in Albemarle Parish, Surry/Sussex County, Virginia):

        2.       William Vaughan married _______ _______
        3.       Dorothy Vaughan married, in Sussex County, March 22, 1765, Thomas Hunt
        4.       Lucy Vaughan married (?Mark) Harwell
        5.        Thomas Vaughan (September 20, 1751) married Susannah ________
        6.       Elizabeth Vaughan (January 12, 1754) married, in Sussex County, December 16, 1773, William Rives
        7.       Martha Vaughan (June 7, 1756) married, in Sussex County, February 2, 1778, Charles Lock of Brunswick County, Virginia
        8.       Anne Vaughan (January 9, 1759 married, in Sussex County, August        16, 1781, Joel Wilkerson of Greensville County, Virginia
        9.       Judith Vaughan (June 16, 1762; not mentioned in her parents' wills, so perhaps died young))
       10.       Fielding Vaughan married Frances Rives in Greensville County, September 20, 1787

I don't know the answers to your questions, but thought it would save you some research time if you knew that they were not in Albemarle County.
Good Luck!
Mary Gregg
