I've got the James T (& on down). I suspected the James T and Polly Bass bit but this helps. My grandfather was Edward "Lewis" Douglass. The "Lewis" part I think from James T. I have an article that James T had which places him somehow as involved with the formation of the LDS Church in Western NY. I think he had a ? brother (his wifes name was Waity)who was at the first - or one of the first meetings of the LDS.
At any rate I have some not so questionable papers involving wills and the James T and Vaughans. If you have any interest I'd be glad to send on what I have.
I have over 30,00 names etc in the Vaughan/Lewis/Douglass data set alone and have put in very considerable work but am more or less tied up on the Vaughan side of things.
Narcissa M: a Dr James T Lewis and they had my gr-grandmother (who M:a Douglass) Their son was my grandfather. All kinds of info too on Missouri and Florida/Georgia.

RBH
I have all sorts of info on Douglass.
