I don't know either.Given the unusual name of "Salome" they all ought to descend from Edward VENNING and Salome COLMER who married St Clether 1747.Three sons of this couple, John, George and Richard all had a daughter Salome between 1781 and 1783.Richard's was born in Laneast so that would probably be why you eliminated that one.
Regarding the Salome born about 1870, she doesn't appear in any English census so she probably was born in Canada or USA.
I did find another Salome though, but I can't place her.She would be born in 1842 at or near Boscastle, and she appears in several census's:
1851 extract, she is 9 b Boscastle visiting James and Margarette Parkin at Well St, Barnstaple.James is 33, Innkeeper born Brayford Devon, and his wife is 36 born Boscastle. Also visiting is Mary Venning 59 b Boscastle and Walter Guard 30 a Builder born Boscastle. [I think Mary Venning's age should be 29 because 10 years later she is 39 and the wife of Walter Gard age 40 in 1861 census]
1861 census at Minster, she is 19 (Shop Assistant born Minster) living with her widowed mother Jenny (age 63 born Endellion) and her sister Elizabeth (Milliner age 22 born Minster).Next door are Walter and Mary Gard.
1871 census at Minister, she is now 29 (Drapers Assistant born Boscastle) living with her widowed mother Jenny (age 73 born Endellion), her brother Jacob Venning (unm Mariner 46 b Boscastle) and sister Elizabeth (unm Milliner Dressmaker 33 b Boscastle).
1881 census, it's just the two sisters at Minster: Elizabeth 45 & Salome 39 both Draper & Grocer b Boscastle
1891 census: the two sisters now aged 55 and 49 are joined by their widowed sister Mary Gard age 69 b Boscastle.
1901 census:Salome Venning is 59 and sister Mary Gard is 79 and they are the last entries for Forrabury.
Do you know who these people are?
