The DD-214 does NOT necessarily list ALL authorized medals. It's a good place to start, but in some cases the paperwork did not result in issuance of orders awarding a medal until after separation from the service, i.e. after the issuance of the DD-214.
For instance, my Bronze Star was awarded 27 June 1972 after my separation 3 June 1972. So my DD-214 does not list that medal: I have a separate copy of the order which awards it.
Check all paperwork available.
