I just saw your posting..An excellent book to read is THE WALL. It was written by a man who wrote about Minnesota's KIA(around the mid 90s. The stories are personal and very heart wrenching (a friend's brother is in the book). My husband was among the first Marines to land in 'Nam. Thirty-seven years later, he rarely discusses his experiences, and then only with fellow Vets. His brother was in the Nam during l968, and his life has been messed up since. Some vets were able to accept what happened, and move on with their lives, others weren't. What hurts my husband most is the lack of respect he and others were shown by the American public. Only during the last few years does he proudly say that he served in Viet Nam.
