Kathy, thank you so much for the information. Researching Roy's military history has not been easy, and if you have more information, I will be ever so grateful for it.
Roy is my favorite uncle, he and his wife Martha adopted my daughter, and raised her to be a wonderful person. Sadlly, Jenna has little to no contact with her mother, and misses her terribly. Since her father's passing Jenna has been desperately seeking to learn more about him, and watches the internet closely for any new material put out there by her mother.
Kathy, how well did you know Roy?
