Newspaper: Lima News of Lima Ohio, Oct. 30, 1968
"Memorial Mass Honors Solider"
"A Memorial Mass for family and friends of Army Spec4 Allan Ray Walsh, 23 son of Mr. abd Mrs. Chris Burr, Troy, Mich, will be offered here 10 a.m. Sunday in St.John's Catholic Church by Rev. Arthur Kuhlman.
The formal Lima residence died Oct 2 in South Vietnam when his helicopter crashed in a river near Da Nang. Requiem High Mass was held was offered Oct 18 at Pompano Beach, Fla."

There is another announcement in the Lima Newspaper dated Oct. 17, 1968 with a picture of him in unifom, problably the one taken at or after boot camp. I can't figure out how to copy and post it here or send it to you. You can see it using a Historical Newspaper database that has the Lima News for 1968. I use Ancestry.com's Newspaper database. Your local library may have Ancestry availible or another like Heritage Quest. Just search Allan Walsh Oct 1968.

By the way have you any contact with his side of the family he had twin sister mentioned in this obituary, Alene Kay Sieg of Lima and has a greatgrandmother's name Mable Frankhouser of Lima.
Graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School, write to see if they have copies of year books and ask if they will get you copies of the pages he was on, or at least his class pictures.
Write to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Pompano Beach, where his funeral was held for any records or information they may have. He was buried in a Pompano Beach Cemetery. (Broward County)

Daughter of Navy Vietnam Veteran.
