Debbie, Do you need a picture copy of the 1850 census for Lunderville? If so I can email it for you. I think the lady you corresponded with was just reading it wrong. I see from your other posts that Joseph Messer married 2nd c1875. Is your line a child from his first marriage to Sophia or his second marriage? Do you have a copy of his second marriage? Maybe it took place in Waterbury VT where the family is in 1880. Even if the town clerk doesn't have it sometimes the local genealogical society will have the church books for the area. It looks like at least one of his children from the first marriage (and maybe both of them) stayed in Waterbury. Do you think Joseph Sr stayed in Waterbury also? Maybe someone has the cemetery lists for the Waterbury area and could find him for you. With a date of death you could get his death record or obit from the local paper. Either of those could give his parents names and maybe some siblings which can also be very helpful.
