I can't find Mason Benjamin as head of household in either Bethel or Sharon, VT. I do see Ira Benjamin was head of household in Bethel VT 1830. When I looked at the Rev War pension of his father Barzilla Benjamin I also see that Barzilla died in 1831 and that his widow, Mary, was living in Sharon, VT in 1837 according to one of the forms in her widow's pension request. She was probably living with Ira because his 1840 Sharon, VT census numbers show he had a female age 70s in the home. This makes it very likely Ira moved from Bethel to Sharon between 1830-1837.

this is strong circumstantial evidence that Ira is the father of Samuel and William. I'm checking around to see if I can find anything more. Will post here if I find something.
