Edward L. Bass, son of Moses H. Bass, b. Oct 1855 in Randolph, VT, lived in Randolph through 1900. In 1910, he lived in Rochester, VT. In 1920, he lived in Bethel, VT. He helped free an innocent Rochester man from prison in 1916. The man had been wrongly convicted of a 1903 murder in Rochester. Am looking for a descendant of Edward L. Bass who might have paperwork related to the pardon given by the Vermont Governor (the State of Vermont resources can’t find any paperwork on the pardon.)
Thanks,
Bill Powers
