Hi Kelli,
Is 1753 a typo as Amos King being in Rutland, VT?
The French War broke out in 1755, which extened in its operations from Canada to the adjoining colonies of New England, New Yorkn [NY] and Pennsylvania [PA]...

Ten towns of Rutland county charters were granted in 1761.

...But the settlers who came before the Revolutionary War all left immediately after its commencement, and did not return until it was over.
