This is my G. grandfather. He was born in Magog, Quebec and died in either Cookville, or E. Calais, Vermont 2/2/1946. His 1st wife was Jeanette Sheppard Bowen B. 1/1/1851 & D. 11/24/1914. 2nd wife Mary Jane Chatfield Bowen B. 5/9/1873 & D. 7/7/1956 or 7/8/1956. They had 4 sons, my grandfather, Loren Walter Bowen,; Wiiliam (Willie), Albert & Clinton. Great uncle Willie died 1964.
John Merrill Bowen's parents were James Bowen B. 1834 & siblings were William, Clinton, Elsina, & Rosella. James died 11/30/1820. He was married to Lucette or Lucetta Prescott B. 1836; D. 11/7/1822.
I got this far from help of a cousin & my mother years ago but I don't know where James Bowen or his wife were born. Now I have come toa dead stop. If there is anyone out there who has any information on any of these relatives I would greatly appreciate it.
