I am particularly looking for James HALLIHAN who was born in about 1809 in Ireland. I don't know when he immigrated to Canada. He married Honora HENESY (sic) somewhere before 1845 when I find a child born in Montreal. There could be earlier children, I don't know.(I have searched & searched the Montreal records & can find nothing on them except for the birth of Elizabeth, their 1st, as far as I know) They came down to Burlington, Vermont shortly after as a son was born in Burlington in 1847. In searching Irish Genealogy I find a James Hallihan, son of JEREMIAH & Ellen, born in Macroom, Cork, Ireland but I am not sure if this is mine. Couldn't find a marriage record there so thought maybe he was young when he came to Canada & therefore was married up there?? I also found an Honora Henesy (sic) born in Midleton, Cork, Ireland in 1820, daughter of JOHN & Mary BRANSFIELD. Same here, not sure if she is my Great-Great Grandmother. If these names sound familiar to anybody, PLEASE, PLEASE get in touch with me. I am about ready to give up as I have been searching for them for more than 30 years!
