Ivers Cook's age was 34 on 1850 census (so born 1815/1816), his age was 42 on 1860 census (so born 1817/1818), his age was 51 on 1870 census (so born 1818/1819), his age was 72 on 1880 census (so born c1807/1808) I believe I found his birth in the vital records of Winchendon for 1814. Here is info on the whole family from that town John Cook of Hingham, MA married 16 April 1798 to Anna Beal at Cohasset, MA children all born at Winchendon, MA Anna b. 21 July 1798 (married John Lane 10 Apr 1822) Tryphena b. 19 Sep 1799 (married Thomas Flint 1819) Mary Foster b.23 Apr 1801 (married Samuel Baldwin 1820) John Jr b.20 Mar 1803 (died 9 Mar 1805) John Jr b.15 Mar 1805 Martin b.1 Mar 1808 Claricy b.26 Jan 1810 Edward b.12 Jun 1812 Ivas b.21 May 1814 (married Caroline Hale of Rindge, NH 1840) Abigail b.17 May 1816 (married Abner Moore of Sharon, NH 1843) Eliza b.26 Mar 1820 (married Reuben Buzzell 1842) Joanna b.15 Aug 1822 (married John N. Richardson of Athol 1849) Anna, wife of John Cook, died 11 Sep 1839 age 62 at Winchendon, MA John Cooke died Winchendon 18 Aug 1848, age 74 yrs 4 mos 7 days, widower, farmer, born Groton, MA son of William Cooke From the info above it appears Ivers/Ivas was married once before his marriage to Dorothy Derby. 1st wife must have died very early into their marriage. one or two of the death records for the above children was found in Winchendon, MA and the mother's maiden name was written as Beal or Beals.
