Vermont locations before 1792

Hi. As I understand it, Vermont didn't become a state until about 1792. Question. Is there a map showing what Vermont areas belonged to what states prior to 1792?

In my family tree file I've got entries like "born 1753 Manchester, Bennington, Vermont". Since Vermont wasn't a state, that can't be right and I'd like to correct it.

I believe "born 1770 Pomfret, Windsor, Vermont" should be listed "born 1770 Pomfret, Windsor, New Hampshire". I'd like to be sure. Any help is greatly appreciated...Dennis
