Dear Julieann,
I just posted a reply to Timothy Simpson, although you are probably more interested in this than he is. Hazel Austin was my husband's grandmother, and according to my sister-in-law, Carroll Tyler was Hazel's father.
I'm new to the whole genealogy thing, but I find it fascinating that my husband's family has been in this area (we are in Middlebury) for so many years.
I think Timothy Simpson's census info is more useful than anything I can provide, but I do have local access to quite a bit of info so if you need anything, I might be able to help.
