Cardell family of White Chapel?

I am looking for parents or other relatives of Elias Russell Cardell. He was born on 28 Feb 1840 in White Chapel?, Vermont which MAY have been in Bennington County (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~vermontgen...). I'm still not positive about that though.

In 1861, he enlisted in the 10th IA Infantry at Malcom, Poweshiek County, Iowa. Edmond Cardell, who was originally from Washington County, Vermont also lived in Poweshiek County. I'm pretty sure that they are related in some way, I'm just not sure how.

In 1880, he was living at Walnut Grove, Greene County, Missouri. In 1900, he was living at Pleasant Hope, Polk County, Missouri. He died in 1905 at Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. He married Disa Rose Tinsley and had 8 children: William, Charles, Phillip, Leota, Lena, Myrtie, Everett, & John.

I would really appreciate any information anybody has on the family of Elias.

Thank you very much!

Grant
