Does anyone have access to an index for marriages in 1856-1857? I am trying to determine the second wife of Warner Preston. His first wife, Esther, died about 1855. The 1860 census, Orange County, shows him with a Sarah A. and son, Alvin. He would have been a son of the second marriage. I am confused because this Alvin is shown in Iowa in 1870 with an Mary E. By this time Warner has died and Mary E. Preston had remarried. I believe both Elizabeth and Sarah's maiden name was Wild/Wilde,and they were sisters. The IGI file shows Alvin the son of Warner Preston and Elizabeth Wild. Who did Warner Preston marry about 1856? Any help appreciated!!!!
