I'm looking for info, those connected, etc, to the Stanley family of Newbury. John Stanley the father was b. abt 1824ish in Ireland. He arrived in Canada(?) before 1851. He married Anna Anderson Thomas, b. Jul 08 1827 in Quebec, Canada. John and Anna married Aug 07 1851 at the St. Andrew' Church in Quebec, Canada. Their children were Jane Stanley b. Aug 22 1852 in Portneuf, Quebec, Canada. Annie b. Aug 08 1854 in Quebec, Canada. Isabel b. abt 1856 in Canada. Gilbert b. abt 1858 in Canada. Daniel (David) b. abt 1860 Canada. Margaret b. abt 1864 Canada. Sometime between 1864 and 1876 they moved to Vermont. John and Anna' son Henry M. was born abt 1876 in Newbury, Vermont. After the 1880 census, I cannot find this family, other than Jane, as she is my gg-grandmother. According to her daughter, my g-grandmother, Bertha Betters and Bertha' siblings, from their old letters, they knew nothing of their Stanley line. After Jane married Austin Betters in 1869 and then they moved West and ended up in Montana, seemingly all contact was lost with Jane' family. I'd like to find Jane' siblings decendents, find out where in Ireland John was from, where they are all buried, where they went after the 1880 census. Any help is appreciated.
