Eastham: mystery town in Orange County, VT

Supposedly, sometime in the late 1700s there was a New Hampshire Grant town called "Eastham" near the present site of Chelsea, Orange County, Vermont. In days of old it was called "Eastham, New Hampshire." It is shown in Jeffrey's Atlas (1776). Two Vermont history books list my Taylor relatives as having lived in Eastham, New Hampshire [present-day Vermont] prior to moving to Salisbury, [VT] in 1795. Does anyone know if there are extant records for the town of Eastham, New Hampshire/Vermont someplace? Any and all leads, suggestions for research much appreciated.
