Lea,

LOTS of yeararound Vaughans from what I can tell in the little History book.

Yes, we would like to know where the house was; Robert Vaughan was a half brother, so unsure if that was the original Charles Vaughan farm house. We do know there was a barn with the house where they had dances as per Margaret.

Frankly, I haven't done any research on this family lately, as busy with my direct lines. I think you are right, the town hall probably has the old land records, OR where is the County seat?

Since the town/village was so small, and loaded with history, it is possible someone who lives/lived there remembers.

I also need to determine IF the data from the library files is accurate, which I think I started to do from the Census, then realized had to do Boston. No clue as to where in Boston!

There is NO mention of Richard Vaughan who also inherited some of Margaret's furniture. I can only surmise he was a nephew, or grand nephew.

I do have a list of Vaughan's buried in the cemetery, her brother George is one of them,

I found FAIRBANKS had a large manufacturing company, I think in St. Johnsbury........hmmm

I will try to start scanning this afternoon....

Betsy
