Dear Sandy, You have been mislead, there is NO Village Cemetery in Chester,VT Josiah Jordan is buried in the Brookside Cemetery in Chester,VT according to the book that I have on the people buried in Chester it gives the following on Josiah Jordan and two of his wives.
Josiah Jordan 1760 - 1840
on top of monument Revelutionary Soldier

Abigail Farrar 1764 - 1810 " 1st wife "
Esther Caryl 1784 - 1816 " 2nd wife "
two children
" Donated by J J,& H C Jordan "
evidently a small burial tomb back of monument
