GASSETTS - Ora E. Spaulding, 86, died Feb. 24, 2004, at Gill Odd Fellows Home.

She was born Feb. 27, 1917, in Providence, R.I., the daughter of Phillip and Jennie (Folco) Guica.

She married Harry Spaulding on May 6, 1933.

Mrs. Spaulding was a member of the Gassetts Grange for many years.

She enjoyed the beach, gardening, cooking, crocheting and bingo.

Survivors include a son, Roy Spaulding of Gassetts; three daughters, Jean Blanchard and Janet Moot, both of Chester, and Gail Sheldon of Proctorsville; a sister, Emma Robinson of Reading; two brothers, Carmine Guica of Cavendish and Vincent Guica of Essex Junction; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1976; a brother, Frank; and a sister, Julia Blake.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Adams & Kenney Funeral Homes in Chester.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gill Odd Fellows Home, Activities Fund, 8 Gill Terrace, Ludlow, 05149.
