I do not want to sound like a "know it all" but I am the person who has most all of the family records of the towns of southern Windsor County, Vermont including Weathersfield... To answer your question: John Barnard, b. Tolland, Conn., 11 March, 1764, son of Samuel & Amy (West) Barnard Grace West, b. Tolland, Conn., 1 Nov., 1766, dau. of Rufus & Sarah (Nye) West of Tolland, Conn. They were m. in Tolland, Connecticut, 8 Nov., 1787. Children (born Tolland, Connecticut): 1. Asahel, b. 8 July, 1789 (see*) 2. Oren, b. 27 Feb., 1791 (see*) 3. Aaron, b. 14 Oct., 1792 4. Seymore, b. 20 Nov., 1795. John Barnard, the father of the children, and husband of Grace, d. in Tolland, Connecticut, 12 Sept. 1798 (age 34) Grace, widow, m. 2nd, (as his 2nd wife), 1803/4, John Haskell (b. Tolland, Conn. 28 Feb., 1763, son of Elijah & Sarah (Reed) Haskell). John Haskell was a soldier of the Revolution. (Pension #S21809). Grace and John had: (1) Grace Haskell, b. 1807, d. 5 Sept, 1831; (2) Roswell, b. 2 July, 1808. He m. Charlotte Jane DeForest, and d. 17 April, 1883); Grace West Barnard Haskell d. in Weathesfield, Vt., 27 April, 1832 (age 66). She was buried in the Bow cemetery. John Haskell d. 22 Oct., 1845 (age 82). He was buried in the Bow. Notify Administrator about this message?
