Columbian, The (Vancouver, WA) - August 6, 2006 Deceased Name: ORVILLE OSCAR SULLIVAN 76, of Vancouver, WA, passed away August 2, 2006. He was born to Oscar Cornelius and Gertrude Cecilia Sullivan in Badoura Township, MN, on December 17, 1929. A U.S. Coast Guard Vet, Orville retired after 20 years of service. He remained an active member of the Lightship Sailors. He also worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, and retired after 24 years as a machinist. Orville loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed reading, tinkering in his shop, and exercising with the "Silver Sneakers." Orville is survived by Effie Leona Sullivan, whom he married on May 9, 1959. He is also survived by son, Dave Odegard, and daughter, Rebecca Mahoney, as well as grandchildren, David Odegard, Jacob and Carissa Greer, and Andrea and Danielle Sullivan; brother, Larry Sullivan, and sister, Mildred Krees. Two of Orville's children precede him in death, Sheryl Phinney and Mark Sullivan. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 7, 2006, 2:00pm, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, followed by a memorial service, 3:00pm, at Safe Harbor Church of the Nazarene, 8100 E.
