This branch of the Caskey family was "lost" when my husband's grandfather, Jesse Benjamin Caskey, drown around 1917 somewhere in WA. His grandmother, Bertha (Boggs) Caskey had already passed away in 1914 in child birth. Their young daughters were put on a train and "shipped" to an Aunt and Uncle Boggs in Council Bluffs, IA. The Boggs family lost touch with the Caskeys shortly after that. We are attempting to locate the graves of my husband's grandparents Jesse Benjamin & Bertha (Boggs) Caskey. Jesse Benjamin Caskey's brother was Amza Orville Caskey. Here is the family: 1. AMZA ORVILLE Caskey (GEORGE WASHINGTON 4, ROBERT 3, GEORGE2, SAMUEL1) was born 10 Nov 1888 in Blue Ridge, MO, and died 12 Sep 1965 in Vancouver, Washington. He married STELLA CORDELIA PARSONS 16 Jun 1910 in Vancouver, Clark, Washington. She was born 21 May 1889 in White Salmon, Klickitat, Washington, and died 13 Aug 1942 in Vancouver, Washington. Children of AMZA Caskey and STELLA PARSONS are: i. ELIZABETH Caskey, b. 09 Aug 1911, Vancouver, Washington. ii. GEORGE PARSONS Caskey, b. 04 Mar 1913, Vancouver, Washington. iii. RETTA LAVINA Caskey, b. 28 Feb 1915, Vancouver, Washington; d. 07 Dec 1932, Vancouver, Washington (Source: Heart Trouble). iv. AMZA ORVILLE Caskey, JR. (Source: Died of Natural Causes), b. 11 Dec 1917, Vancouver, Washington; d. 15 Nov 1965, Vancouver, Washington. I am hoping now to find descendants, who may remember stories of the tragic drowning and perhaps lead us to their graves. Thank you, Joanne Elliott Notify Administrator about this message?
