Thanks for your response. I had considered that the couple could have divorced, the other really doesn't seem logical after all the moves the family had made and stayed together. The reason I really don't think either of them happened is the fact that Adelbert has disappeared after locating the record in the city directory. Would you happen to know what the cost of a death certificate in Washington is? I am in California and really need someone to see if there is a record for him.
