Connie: As usual, Ron provided you with the best advice on securing the information you are seeking. Here are a couple of follow~up items on the case: From the Oakland Tribune on Nov 5, 1926 Family Slain Tacoma, Wash., Nov 5~ Karoku Takano, proprietor of a cafe, his wife and 5 year old boy were slain in their room at a local hotel this morning by two gunmen, believed to be Japanese. Modesto News Herald Nov. 6, 1926 Bloodhounds Trail Japanese Slayers Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 5 Bloodhounds are being used in an effort to trace the two Japanese gunmen who shot and killed Mr. and Mrs. Karoku Takano and their five year old son in their hotel room (unreadable)? today. Three Japanese men here have been placed under arrest in connection with the murders. Police believe that the shooting was an outgrowth of the strained relations between two groups of Japanese which first came to a head last month when arrests were made in an attempted blackmail case. Hope this helps with your mystery... Laura Notify Administrator about this message?
