Hi Muriell,
I also found a Robert A. Shipp b. 28 Feb 1929, Last Residence=Seattle, King Co., WA 98133 who died 18 July 2000. His social security # was assigned in Washington before 1951. Source: Social Security Death Index, www.ancestry.com.

There are two volunteers at www.raogk.com who look up obituaries in King Co. Successful Searching!
