Dear Group,
I am looking for the parents of this Heinrich Miller:
64. Henrich Miller was born March 6, 1772 (1774) in Maryland and died Febru-ary 6, 1843, on South Mountain in Washington Co., MD. He married 65. Susannah Derr on February 22 (26), 1800, in Frederick Co., MD. Henry was first married to Susannah’s sister, Maria Barbara Derr, who died sometime after giving birth to a daughter named Betsey. His name may have been John Henry or Henry John and could be listed in documents in the German form as Johann Henrich Mueller or some variation of that name. The Evangelical Lutheran Parish Register, Book II, 1762-1811, lists Henry and Susan as “Henrich and Susannah Miller.” The History of Frederick Co., Maryland, Vol. II, refers to Henry as “John Miller” and says he “came from Germany and settled on South Mountain in Frederick Co., MD.
