I have a copy of the land patent files from NARA for anyone who wants them for a James M. Johnson (he turned out not to be my James M. Johnson). He settled in Chesaw, Okanogan County. He origianlly made a homestead entry in 1904. James M. Johnson died in Nov. 1906, and the land went to his wife, Louisa J. Johnson, but she had already died in Sept. 1905, so this is a second, revised patent being issued to their son Jessie A. Johnson, who at this point had a wife and 2 kids.
