The 1892 Voter Registration could not be him, if he was born 1877 in Illinois. The News article of 1893, probably wouldn't either as he would have been only 16. The closest found was a Benton Thomson: The Washington Death Certificate Index shows a Benton B. Thomson, died 30 May 1909 in Blaine, Whatcom County, WA, he was 33 years, 5 months and 5 days at time of death. His father was Barney Thomson. In the US Census for 1900, I looked for ANY Ben* Thom* (where * is a wildcard for any following letters), born plus/minus 5 years of 1877. I found no one with your criteria (April 1877). Could he have used his middle (or first) name instead of Benton? The British Columbia archives had no hits: http://search.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/sn-3D025F3/gbsearch/Deaths Notify Administrator about this message?
