You may already know where his land was located; but here generates a map:

From: http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/
His land was at Range 2-E, Township 39-N,
Section 1: SENE
Section 1: part 1
Section 6: parts 5, the SW corner of the NW Quarter
and 6, the NW corner of the SW Quarter.

Now, go to: http://www.esg.montana.edu/gl/trs-data.html
Enter State of Washington for the Willamette Meridian
Enter the Township of 39-N, Range 2-E, and submit.

For nearby places, you'll see Wiser Creek mouth was 1001 meters, Bartlett Beach at 1248 meters, Wiser Lake was only 1305 meters

In the middle: click on "Switch to TerraServer"

In the new window, you'll see an aerial view, showing it was 7 km SW of Lynden. Now, click on the largest block for Size, and click on Topo.

In the first window, you can see Bartlett Beach, Wiser Lake, Greenwood is off to the right.

Just below Wiser Lake, you'll see a "6". Left click on the "6". In the next view, click on it again.

In the next view, the "6" will be red. That is Section 6, just to the left is a red "1". That is Section 1. To the right, you'll see the Greenwood Cemetery where the family is buried. The town of Greenwood is just a bit more up and to the right.

Surrounding the red "6" is a red square. The bottom is on Pole Road. Between 1 and 6 is the Guide Meridian Road. On the right side, the red dashed line and on the top, a red dashed line is the boundry for Section 6. This is the first time I have seen a section line that waved as it does on the top. It might just be a map problem. Sections are square.

This is also the hardest I've seen in trying to locate exact land location. His land in Section 1 was "SENE". Usually this means the property was the SE portion of the NE corner. His land in Section 6, is also identified as Lot 6 in the NW portion of the SW Quarter. Basically, take the entire section, divide it in 1/4ths. His land was in the top west side of the bottom left side of that section.

I think basically, his land was in parcels. The local county assessor would need to fully identify the exact parcels owned. But, this does show the general area of his land, and where he is buried.
